Philippians 2 tells us To let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus!

 

I noticed first of all the has to be a lettin, a permitting, we have to make a deliberate decision to let the Mind of Christ be in us.

 

The word for mind has been translated as "attitudes and purposes" in the Amplified Bible.

So we are being exhorted by the Apostle to permit, to let these same attitudes that Jesus had be in us also.

1 John  2:6 says "He who says he abides in Him OUGHT to walk JUST AS HE WALKEF!

 

1 Peter 2:21 - "For this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that you should follow in His steps."

 

How do we know Jesus' attitudes and purposes?

We read thw Word of God, we explore how Jesus lived, what His attitudes were to a multitude of things and what were His purposes!

We will never be able to Let the Mind of Christ be in us if we don't discover what that mind actually is.

 

But having discovered how is it possible that we walk that life, I mean we're only human?

 

1 Peter 1:3 - "as His divine power has given us ALL THINGS, that pertain to life and  Godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.

 

WE have been given all things already!

 

Let us purpose in our lives to "let this mind be in us that was in Christ Jesus!"
